Is it an osterich? Is it an earwig? Did I spell both right? - Euborellia annulipes - female

Is it an osterich? Is it an earwig? Did I spell both right? - Euborellia annulipes - Female
Fullerton Arboretum, Fullerton, Orange County, California, USA

Heads up, my finest earwig shot ever, except for one minor detail.

Found under bark in a recently dismembered pine tree.

No, Yes, and No...
It looks like a female (8 abdominal segments) Euborellia annulipes (dark markings on the legs).

Three! Three! Three answers for the price of none!
I will search for a small spelling dictionary, strictly for use with Bug Guide posts. Are suchlike still published? Border's (Borders?) will know for certain.

Thanks, Chuck.

When you're posting to bugguide
you have a huge dictionary at your fingertips. Just google the word you are interested in. osterich has 23000 returns, ostrich has 444000!

Good point
It's nice to know that the better spellers have such an edge. That is, unless there's one person who writes "ostrich" tens of thousands of times.
