Squash Bug or Assassin Bug Nymph - Euthochtha galeator

Squash Bug or Assassin Bug Nymph - Euthochtha galeator
Finksburg, Maryland, USA
June 20, 2000
Is this an Assassin bug nymph or a Squash bug nymph? This very early nymph seems to be hanging around a series of un-hatched eggs. It has great antennae.

Moved
Moved from Euphorbia bug. There has been much discussion over the years on these spikey nymphs. Given Hannah's research and Boris's comments here, it seems best to move them all to Euthochtha where most, if not all, of them will be correctly placed.

Leaf-footed bug
The nymph is definitely in the Coreidae (leaf-footed bugs, squash bugs), but I have no idea which genus. Very cool.
