Is this an Elephant Mosquito?

Aha!
I've read about this genius! In one of my many books about insects and spiders it states: These are the largest mosquitoes in the world! Correct me if there's another genius larger then this! Nice photo btw!

Now that we have this image, compare it to the other photos in the guide. This one has distinctively feathery antenna and reduced white markings on the legs. This must be the male while the others (to date) are females.

I think you're right on this one! I took a look at the photos and they seem to match!

 
I concur.
The size, strongly metallic color, tusk-like palpi, and downcurved proboscis are all pretty distinctive. They do not bite, either!
