Another Saddleback with parasitic wasp eggs - Cotesia empretiae

Another Saddleback with parasitic wasp eggs - Cotesia empretiae
Coatesville, Chester County, Pennsylvania, USA
September 19, 2014
I collected this saddleback and was hoping it would make a cocoon. I returned later to see that it had cocoons on it. I am not sure what kind of wasp cocoons these are, but I previously posted a different specimen and was told they were parasitic wasp cocoons of some sort. I'm not sure if this is necessary for the guide or not, but I figured it could be frassed if not.

Only Microgastrine
Evidently, the only microgastrine so far recorded from this host is Cotesia empretiae (Viereck).

Microgastrinae…
We've discussed this before at some length here. If you decide to rear some of these out, and then imaged and posted them here, that might be helpful for the guide.

See reference here.

Yes
I am aware that we discussed these before, but I wasn't sure if they were the exact same species or not. I guess I would have to rear them, like you said, to know for sure what species they are.
I'm actually on Vacation in NC right now, so I have no clue how any of my caterpillars are doing. I had removed the cocoons from the caterpillar before I left, so I'm not sure if the hatched wasps will go after the caterpillar or not. The caterpillar was still alive though.
