Biography:

I am an enthusiastic amateur Odonatologist living in NE MN near Lake Superior. Teaching and speaking about dragonflies is one of my favorite things to do. I have given more than 60 presentations thoughout MN and WI from late 2003 through 2005. My field guide, Dragonflies of the North Woods, won the 2004 National Outdoor Book Award in the Nature Guidebook Category.

I am lucky enough to live in a very under-surveyed region of North America, so new odonate finds are a constant possibility!

My wife (a naturalist), two daughters and I live on 30 acres of woods and are 'homesteading' and attempting to live a 'simple' life (which seems to be quite complicated!).
