Biography:

I have been studying dragonflies for 48 years as of 2017. I taught high school science in South Dakota and Iowa for 29 years and have worked as a county naturalist for the Ida County Conservation Board for 11 years. I retired from teaching and being a naturalist in 2014. I've been a member of the Dragonfly Society of the Americas since 1996. In 2003 I was elected to the Executive Council of the DSA (6 years as a regular member, 2 years each as President-elect, President, and past president) then a position as the editor of the Bulletin of American Odonatology. I'm also the Great Plains Adminstrator for OdonataCentral.org and vet records for 13 states of the upper midwest.
