Biography:

I am a retired diamond setter with no formal education. I have bee birding for many years, traveled the Neotropics where I took many lousy bird photos and eventually co-led birding tours, first in Central America and mostly in Francophone West Africa.
I did some illustration for a couple of bird guides.
I immigrated from France in 1946 and lived in NYC for 50 years; like many NYC birders (they founded NABA) I became interested in Butterflies, then in Dragonflies.
I now spend much of my time prowling for whatever I can photograph with my Panasonic Lumix DFC-FZ7.
