Biography:

Born and raised in Dortmund, Germany. MS and PhD from Ruhr-University Bochum and Max-Planck-Institute Bad Nauheim in Zoology/Zoophysiology. Entomological survey of Beech forest in NRW Germany. Research and teaching (comparative physiology) at University of Trondheim, Norway, UoF, Gainsville, UoA, Tucson.
Second carrier as a full time painter since 1995.
