After about twenty years of using film for biomedical illustration and photography, the switch to digital was made. No longer limited by the expense of film and processing, it is possible to photograph anything that comes along. If only this was possible on field trips in the past when x rolls of film had to be reserved for the subject(s) of interest. Currently using the Canon system. Total neophyte in the complexities of arthropod identification; reptiles/amphibians are a piece of cake, Cone snails (Conus) are not too bad after photographing a few hundred species.
