As an amateur naturalist and aspiring ethnobotanist, I began photographing native wildflowers in 2005. Since that time (and as my skills/equipment improved to the point where I could get a decent picture of an often moving target,) I expanded my subjects to include arthropods and other "critters." My father is a professor of entomology at the University of Georgia, and I have him to thank for my love of bugs.
