Biography:

I am a PhD candidate at the University of Kansas, studying song evolution in shield-back katydids of the genera Aglaothorax and Neduba. I have a general interest in sound-producing insects, and avidly collect all manner of Orthoptera and Cicadidae. I curate the Orthoptera and Cicadidae collections at the University of Kansas. I also studied dragonflies and damselflies for some time and curated the Odonata collection at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
