Biography:

Hello, I am an evolutionary biologist/entomologist specializing in the evolution and ecology of tiger beetles (Carabidae: Cicindelinae). My research focuses on the phylogeography, phenotypic plasticity, ecology, and speciation in this fascinating group.

I have a number of ongoing research projects dealing with North American Cicindela phylogeography and conservation genetics. I'm always looking for additional help with obtaining specimens for these studies. If you think you may be interested in contributing to these studies, please contact me at:

daniel.p.duran@vanderbilt.edu

I am always happy to discuss any aspect of tiger beetle biology with interested naturalists. Don't hesitate to contact me if you have seen something that you think may be unusual or interesting!
