Biography:

Honorary Fellow in the Department of Entomology at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

I am a computer application developer (Mainframe and Java) by day. Outside of work I enjoy learning about nature, especially insects. My specialty is hister beetles (Coleoptera: Histeridae). I am currently conducting a statewide survey of this beetle family in Wisconsin. I am addicted to being out in natural areas. I am relatively new to photography, so would appreciate any tips more experienced photographers would like to share.

Equipment used:
Images in nature: Canon PowerShot A630.

Images of collection specimens: Syncroscopy Automontage system (UW-Madison Entomology Dept) used to capture images and CombineZM and CombineZP used to montage the captured images.
