Biography:

I am an amateur photographer residing in Northern Ontario, Canada. Although I enjoy all varieties of nature photography, my primary interest is photomacrography (i.e. 1:1 and beyond) with insects and spiders being my main subjects. All summer long on weekends I haul the family into the woods and spend every morning and evening searching out anything that will sit long enough for me to focus on it.

I shoot with a pair of Nikon D2Xs - usually handheld with off-camera flash. My most frequently used lens is the Nikkor 200mm f4 Micro but I also often use a lightweight Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro with a set of Kenko Auto-Extension Tubes for a magnification ratio of about 1.75:1
