Biography:

Lifelong enthralled naturalist. Formal education centered on the sciences, particularly biology and chemistry, but no specific entomological training beyond my own informal delvings. I chased bugs as a child; they are a significant part of my earliest memories. For the past twenty-four years (as of 2009), however, my attention has been focussed mainly on birds/birding. Over those years my interests have also veered into botany, mycology, and astronomy. For the past fourish years, bugs have been an interesting new challenge as well as a kind of coming full circle. Hello again, bugs.
