I was an entomology major (Auburn Univ.) for 3 years then went the molecular route. Now, upon retirement, I have become a "full time" amateur entomologist. I have been corresponding with Ed Mockford for 2 years now and I have learned so much from him. His depth of knowledge is remarkable. I study, collect and practice my dissections and use of Mockford's keys. I finally took the plunge and bought a Canon MP-E 65mm macro lens and it has opened up a micro world to me. They can't be too obscure for me. Psocids are my passion. I am doing my homework trying to become a competent amateur.
