Here's more than you want to know about me: Jo McGavin aka (Full Name)Jo Ann Poe-McGavin
I'm a life long resident of Pennsylvania. I am old enough already!! LOL! Married, have one daughter.
I graduated college, if it weren't for Algebra, I'd have done better! My courses included Advanced Biology, Advanced Human Physiology and Anatomy, Astronomy, Geology and yada yada.... ^_^
My hobbies include Herpetology and I've read all the college text books (including Reptile Medicine and Surgery, as if I'll ever need that), Herpetoculture, Music, Art, Science, Photography, Reading, Hiking and collecting silly things like Anime Figures, RUSH (yes,the band) stuff, etc.
Although Reptiles and Amphibians are still my main interest, I've gotten back into insects.
I've always liked photography but not seriously until a few years ago-so finally I decided to invest in a better digital camera in 2007 which I'm still learning to use. (I have several SLRs but I hate wasting film)
Anyway-my older photos here were taken with a Sony DSC-P30 (1.3mp) and my newer ones are taken with a Sony DSC-H5 (7.2mp).
Seems like I'm going to have to invest and better macro lens now...sigh....
Is that enough? My typing is awful! Oh yeah-and if you go to my pawild website-please excuse the OLD "ratty" digital photos-I still need then but I'm working on replacing them.
