Biography:

Retired after career as a physicist doing materials science R&D in the petroleum and petrochemicals industry.
Now catching up in other areas of interest.
I use the images at the Moth Photographers Group for my tentative identifications.
I rely on experts such as Bob Patterson at BugGuide for IDs/confirmation.
John Nelson and John Fisher check IDs for inclusion in the Oklahoma checklist of moths.
Since August 2008, I have been submitting moths to Paul Hebert at
the University of Guelph for his DNA barcoding effort. That has led to many of my new moths.
