I am an entomologist at Carnegie Museum of Natural History. Crane flies have been the focus of my academic research and I have conducted specimen-based documentation of them in Kansas and currently in Pennsylvania. Crane flies, as a group have been under appreciated due to their fragility. Have been spending much of my time examining the prepared specimens under microscope, I am sure glad to see that folks here are enthusiastic to take part in showing them in a different light. I will do my part to identify them as best I can based on the images and the habitat information you provide.
