Biography:

I'm a science geek. My schooling is in geology (specifically paleontology—esp. Cretaceous fishes) and I've gone a couple of dinosaur digs. I worked for five years in the horticulture industry where I found I was fascinated by bugs, although most of time I was charged with killing them.

When I got my first digital camera, I found that insects and spiders were the most common subjects, so that's what I focus on now. But flowers, birds and other creatures still entice. I currently use a Canon PowerShot S2 IS. I don't know a lot about photography, but I compensate by taking lots and lots of shots.
