Biography:

I am a herpetologist who became an avid insect collector on my numerous summer research projects. Currently I teach at a University and a community college primarily on evolutionary genetics and various other biological subjects but still maintain my interest in all organisms. Of the insects my favorite group are the dung beetles but the Coleoptera in general hold my fascination. As the saying goes, I have an inordinate fondness for beetles.

I have also been experimenting with photography and so insects make a great photo subject. I also have about 4-5 thousand insects in my personal collection that I have donated to the community college but I maintain it and continue to collect with the help of students.
