I am currently employed at a natural history museum as the head of citizen science. My research areas include the physiology and behaviors of the giant water bugs and flight behaviors of dragonflies. I also have extensive experience in aquatic entomology and in using insects as indicators of water quality in streams and lakes, particularly in the arid southwest. I am particularly passionate about aquatic insects - they hold a warm, happy place in my heart! Insects never cease to amaze me and I am thrilled that I will be able to spend my life studying and observing them.
