Biography:

I have been working on the systematics, taxonomy, phylogeny, and natural history of phorid flies since 1983. I work at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, where I am the Curator of Entomology.

Besides phorids, I have general interests in biodiversity, Diptera, Malaise traps, and tropical faunas. An overview of my work can be seen at www.phorid.net.
