If forced to choose, I would be more inclined to call myself an ecology-enthusiast (vs. an entomology-enthusiast.) I approach my studies of insects from the perspective of how each contributes to the biodiversity of my local city park.

I do not own, nor have I ever owned, any books or field guides about insects. Instead I rely solely on the internet [including Bugguide] for sources of information about insects.
