Biography:

I'm a naturalist - interested in wildness and all the beautiful expressions and layers of this breathtaking world. After many years practicing natural history, I've just discovered the wonder, mystery, beauty, and joy of paying close attention to bugs! Insects and their kin now seem to be everywhere, and this site offers a unique opportunity to learn and contribute. What a blessing to find this community of enthusiasts.

Thanks to everyone for being interested and engaged... I'm just finding my way around insect natural history and identification (and macrophotography), and I welcome any dialogue about my images. If anyone knows of any cool bug-related activities in central Arizona or the Yosemite region of the Sierra Nevada, I'd love to know about 'em.
