I am a Trappist monk and have lived here at the Monastery in Conyers, Georgia for 38 years. I have had an interest in nature all this time. Originally I focused on birds and am a member of both local Audubon as well as the Georgia Ornithological Society.
Eleven years ago I became more interested in Butterflies and dragonflies and began photographing them for ID purposes. I have currently identified 95 species of Butterflies and 53 of Dragonflies here at the 2300 acre Monastery. Finally I just began photographing any kind of natural beauty including bugs, mushrooms, flowers etc. My hope is to try to identify as much as I can on our property here.
