Biography:

I've had a lifelong interest in insects ever since my childhood in rural England, but my zoology degree led me to study large mammals in Africa. I lived in Africa for nearly 30 years, doing research, education, interpretive displays, writing, illustrating, publishing, and safari guiding, together with my wife Jeannette. We moved to a cohousing community in Tucson in 2003 and immediately wanted to learn more about the rich variety of arthropods we met here. I take my insect photos with a Canon SD10 and a Canon A620, both of which perform very well. You can find some of my other animal pics on tolweb.com
