Biography:

I've had a lifelong interest in insects ever since my childhood in rural England, but my zoology degree led me to study large mammals in Africa. I lived in Africa for nearly 30 years, doing research, education, interpretive displays, writing, illustrating, publishing, and safari guiding, together with my wife Jeannette. We moved to a cohousing community in Tucson in 2003 and immediately wanted to learn more about the rich variety of arthropods we met here. You can find some of my other animal pics on tolweb.com
