Began collecting insects in Fresno, California as a teenager in 2010. Soon developed a strong interest in Coleoptera, particularly Carabidae. Moved to Orem, Utah in 2013 and continued studying western Carabidae until 2019 when I donated my insect collection of about 16,000 specimens and approximately 900 determined species of Carabidae to BYU.
Since then I have remained interested in certain Geadephaga, and am building another collection primarily of Cerambycidae and Scaraboidea.
