By day (weekend days anyway) Dan leases out apartments. But by other times of the day and night he likes to make his neighbors uneasy by lurking in the foliage around their houses with a digital camera. His "bug excuse", as it is known, serving only to further raise their alarm and fuel their suspicions.

When he is not under surveilance for the aforementioned behavior, Dan likes to compound his many problems by also owning a telescope. In spite of the "peeping tom" stigma he uses it to give people free star tours on the dark boardwalk in Havre de Grace, Maryland on clear nights for the benefit of public education.

Finally, clenching and fully solidifying his position as the town's resident subscriber to all that is considered abnormal and off-putting, Dan gives the Havre de Grace Haunted History Tour every October after sunset. Reluctant crowds of tourists and townsfolk alike have described the experience as, "more disturbing than the pfisteria outbreaks".

Dan follows an alienated, day to day lifestyle in a corner room in Harford County, Maryland. The UPS driver ocassionally stops in for coffee if he feels guilty enough.

I have a quiet dignity I like to keep.
