Biography:

I grew up in Ecuador, SA where I found myself fascinated by exotic bugs during trips to the rainforest. My first camera was a Kodak 120.
Currently using the following equipment:
Canon D-60, 65mm macro lens (1x-5x), Canon Macro Ring-Lite.

It took me a while to get nice shots with good DOF. I started off using a tripod but this just became a pain in the neck to lug around! I finally found that the techniques I learned shooting a target at 300 meteres with a Canadian C-7 rifle (M-16) in basic training worked just as well with shooting free-hand macro shots.
