I am a young and energetic high school science teacher (biology and chemistry). I've always had a passion for nature and for teaching. From a young age, birds captured my attention which seeded my love for nature. That love an curiosity about nature has taken me to many interesting and beautiful places including Mexico, Costa Rica, The Amazon Rainforest in Peru, and most recently I was able to visit some incredible nature reserves on my trip through Southeast Asia. I regularly hike in and around the Toronto area with my camera ready. Once bugguide gave me such a well organized, accurate and fun forum to finally learn insect taxonomy, my new passion has taken off. Hopefully my passion and interests will be contagious with my students and others who I encounter and who visit this site. Thanks to all who contribute to bugguide, particularly those experts and self made experts who have dedicated so much time and effort to truly make this website wonderful.
