VOUCHER SPECIMENS
If I collected any specimens, they will either be in my personal collection or the FL State Collection of Arthropods, with rarer and more interesting specimens being deposited with the FSCA as soon as is feasible.
BIO
I grew up in CT, got an entomology BS at UF, moved back to CT for a couple of years and then back to FL, so, except for those 2 years, I've been in FL since 1995 and have been working in entomology in one capacity or another for much of that time. I am currently the invertebrate zoologist for a conservation organization which keeps track of rare species and habitats in FL.
EQUIPMENT
A few people have asked what I'm using to take pictures. I was using a Canon EOS 40D with a Canon 100mm macro lens, Kenko extension tubes and 430EX flashes with diffusers and a homemade flash bracket. Now I have the Canon twin flashes as well as the mpe-65 macro lens. As of July 2011 I added the Canon EOS 7D.

Contact me before using any of my images for any purpose. In general, I will allow non-profit usage for free and I have a soft spot for educational use of any sort. I have high resolution versions of most of the pictures that I have posted and my images are usually taken at a very low iso setting and as large of an aperture as I can get away with, so are relatively free from digital noise, blurriness or other aberrations.
