Black Witch Moth - BWM - Ascalapha odorata

Black Witch Moth - BWM - Ascalapha odorata
New York City, Manhattan County, New York, USA
September 17, 2014
"We found a Black Witch moth in our apartment in the middle of New York City last week. (Sept. 17) We live on the 16th floor, and it probably came in through a window at night. We found it in a small bathroom. The next morning it was at a kitchen window, flapping. We opened the window and it flew out. It was a spectacular and startling sight, especially since we had no idea what it was. I can send photos." - Annette Marcus
