Oak Lace Bug
Both images moved from Lace Bugs to new species page.

What plant was it on?
That can help greatly with ID. Also, if there are loads of them on the plant, including juveniles and frass, that's indicative it's their host plant. (I'm guessing sycamore. How'd I do?)

Sorry
I meant to put that. It was on a live oak. Thanks for looking at it.

Congrats, Graham
It's another first for Bug Guide. Now go collect your guide page! Good going.

We have a really good expert, and I was trying to help you both.
My experience has been limited to sycamore lace bugs, and this looks like one to this non-expert. Whatever kind, they're really pretty and quite a neat find.

Thank you Ron!
This is Corythucha arcuata, the oak lace bug.

Well, you've proven it again and again.
Thanks for IDing this and the others! We're getting quite a nice collection of lace bugs here at Bug Guide.
