Scaeva pyrastri? Nope! - Eupeodes volucris - female

Scaeva pyrastri? Nope! - Eupeodes volucris - Female
Fullerton Arboretum, Fullerton, Orange County, California, USA
March 28, 2007
I had several of these wrong. A big Thanks! to Gerard for straightening things out.

Moved
Moved from Eupeodes.

Moved
Moved from Scaeva pyrastri.

Not Scaeva
But a female Eupeodes sp.
The forehead is not bulging enough for Scaeva, and the spots don't fit those of S. pyrastri!
Greetings
