Tachinid eggs

Thanks for asking, but I really can't
The only way I knew that the eggs on Cliff's caterpillar were tachinid eggs was that I googled tachinidae eggs lepidoptera and found some similar images. And even then I wasn't sure, which is why I included a question mark in my comment in the Eggs article.

Likely Ragweed Flower Moth
Schinia rivulosa, that is presuming there is ragweed in the immediate area. That said it is a bit of a mystery why it would be high enough to land on the back of one's neck.

Lots of ragweed in area. I was crossing a creek beneath a bridge which is probably 20 feet above. Strange indeed.
