10566 - Lacinipolia acutipennis
Santee, San Diego County, California, USA
September 30, 2014
Size: Forewing length 13 mm
My identification based on images in the guide
Found at UV light near Santee Lakes

Moved to Lacinipolia acutipennis
Moved from Lacinipolia pensilis.

Tentative ID. See comments below. I think this is more reasonable. Correction welcome.

Maybe not
Tom pointed out to me that this group was revised by Schmidt 2015 (1). L. pensilis is a northwestern montane species. Probably L. acutipennis or maybe dimocki either of which would be new for the BG. Did you save the specimens? Might want to get them dissected.

L. acutipennis
After reading the paper more carefully I think dimocki can be eliminated. The closest matches I see in that paper are all in acutipennis, fig. 40 from Ventura Co., fig. 41 from Monterey Co., and figs. 43-45 (formerly subalba) from San Diego Co.
