Should probably store the pupa in a safe place mimicking natural temperatures so it can hibernate properly. The adult will emerge next spring, usually June in Ontario.

This late in the year, this pupa will probably hibernate. If you keep it in doors, it may come out in a couple of weeks but then it will just die and never mate, and it will be a bit of a waste.

Outdoors, they pupate above ground, and are not particularly picky. They can pupate on branches, trunks of trees, sides of homes or sheds...etc.
