It's good to have a face shot for many Eristalis. If you have such, even if blurry, it's a good idea to post it.

Funny how they do that
Check Images, and you'll see lots of similar postures. I think Gray Hairstreaks are the worse, but flies and bees are right up there. Bottoms up!
