Olixon banksii - female

Olixon banksii - Female
East Chicago, Lake County, Indiana, USA
August 1, 2014
Size: 6-7mm
Collected in pitfall traps and carrion-baited pitfall traps at a poor-quality restored prairie. Specimens in alcohol.

There were numerous crickets in these samples, Gryllus and Allonemobius. Lohrmann et al 2014 suggests that Allonemobius is the likely host.

Great finding!!!
Could you please provide some more detailed pictures? In collaboration with three colleagues I have recently revised the New World fauna of the genus and I'd be very interested to have a picture of

a) the head in lateral view,
b) the propodeum in dorsal view, and
c) the first metasomal segment in dorsal view.

I'd be glad to receive the pictures via v.lohrmann@uebersee-museum.de.
Many thanks and best wishes
Volker
