Philonthus caeruleipennis

One of a number of Rove Beetle species found on a Polypore fungus on a felled tree near the ground. I tapped the Polypore over my net and found it filled with a large number of Rove Beetles of a variety of species from tiny to large. There were at least a half dozen species.
