I reshot this batch of black tenebs, looking for confirmation of my suspicion that this was Centronopus calcaratus. I found it in the form of the long golden setae sprouting from the male's inner front femur, diagnostic for species.

These photos languished for days after Don Chandler kindly confirmed Centronopus calcaratus while I posted more interesting stuff (always, always, always my big problem. Such a ponderous backlog of images!!!!! Do I think it would improve after I retire? No! I think I will always collect more than I can shoot and shoot more than I can process and post).
