Size: ~20mm
Sphecomyia vittata, one had me fooled until it landed, besides that i saw two pairs.

Great portrait! I remember collecting one once, and being totally convinced I was after a queen yellowjacket. It even FLEW like one, in a zigzag pettern at the base of a tree, like it was searching for a nesting site. Not until it was in a BOTTLE did I realize what I had:-)
