Cool, stemmata vs. ocelli
Excellent. I was just reading up on simple eyes and am confused--some larval insects have simple eyes called stemmata (1), which are not, technically, ocelli, though they are frequently called such. (Borror et al. (2) define stemmata as "lateral ocelli of insect larvae", aha!)

So good, I can use this for both "ocelli" and "stemmata" glossary entries.
