mainly on poplar and willow, rarely on pear trunks(2)
Remarks
The two species can be distinguished by(2)
cribellum: large and small black spots in middle of scutum and smaller spots on scutellum (maybe unreliable), second dorsocentral seta large, mostly eastern
inaequalis: only small spots in middle of scutum and larger spots on scutellum (maybe unreliable), second dorsocentral seta small, mostly western
