Size: 1 1/2 inches
We have always called these salmon flies but I'm not so sure these are salmon flies after all.

Hexagenia limbata
Hi Mary-

I believe this female imago to be Hexagenia limbata. In the Pacific NW, the are usually just referred to by the common name of Hex.
