Megachilid - Megachile parallela - female

Megachilid - Megachile parallela - Female
Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
October 15, 2014
Found several megachile bees this morning. Is there an easy way to tell the difference between petulans and parallela? They both seem "bent-tailed" to me. I do see that the guide has only one record of parallela in Florida.
PS--apologies if this is a duplicate posting; my first one this afternoon disappeared. I think I accidentally assigned it a date of 2015, and the system trashed it?

Refers to the very tip of e tail
Not the shape in general

Tailtip is bent, got it!
Having struggled mightily through these long keys, I see why people specialize. Whew!
