Handsome Meadow Katydid - Orchelimum pulchellum - Female
Fort Bragg, Cumberland County, North Carolina, USA
October 30, 2003
This was identified by my Katydid contact, Thomas Walker. He helped put together a book... Field Guide to Grasshoppers, Katydids, and Crickets of the United States. I believe it's now available through Amazon.com. I can't wait to get my copy!

Very colorful!

Yes,
It certainly has wonderful colors... catching it in just the right lighting helps display those.
