This was identified by my Katydid contact, Thomas Walker. He helped put together a book... Field Guide to Grasshoppers, Katydids, and Crickets of the United States. I believe it's now available through Amazon.com. I can't wait to get my copy!

Very colorful!
I think you might consider writing a book, "Field Guide to the Most Colorful Insects of the United States!"
