Fly - Andrenosoma xanthocnemum - female

Fly - Andrenosoma xanthocnemum - Female

Not well seen in this photo, the tip of this fly's abdomen was orange. Andrenosoma sp.? I seem to recall this fly having a habit of walking all over the tree trunk it was on, very unlike the typical sedentary perching posture I am typically accustomed to from robber flies.

How interesting, Eric--I read
How interesting, Eric--I read your comments on this species' page where you mention its propensity for fallen trees and indeed, I found this fly on a fallen tree! I notice the species page only has a few photos, I have a couple more, I guess I should add them? Thanks for the ID.
